The One With the Black Boots and Red Hose

SON ch 26 & 27

It's a double feature! Yes, we are covering chapters 26 and 27 of Shadow of Night in one shot (it explains the length of the episode). In chapter 26, we meet a new (to us) de Clermont; Verin ... and her husband Ernst. We reunite with present-day Gallowglass, and we see how Philippe continues to look over the family from the grave. We then zip back in time to 1591 in chapter 27 to catch up with Matthew and Diana in Prague. They are establishing their household, settling the kids in, and plotting their course to finally get their hands on Ashmole 782. First stop, Emperor Rudolf's place. On first read, we go in not knowing what to expect, but we come out feeling a bit like Diana -- ugh! Please excuse us. We need to shower now.

* Our episode titles are a loving tribute to the show "Friends" just 'cause we love Friends and - let's face it - it's easier! Here's how one of the show creators explains their reasoning:

Jeff Greenstein: "When Marta & David & Jeff & I did 'Dream On', we used to spend a lot of time thinking about titles, because they were on-screen at the top of each episode. On "Friends", we decided that was a waste of time. We figured, why not name each episode after the thing that people will ostensibly be talking about around the water-cooler the next day?"
