Batters up! Stepping up to the plate this week are two sickly/sweet romcoms disguised as sports dramas. Firstly, Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon swap RBI’s for romance in 1988’s Bull Durham! 

Kevin wrestles with his love for America’s diamond (the baseball field), as he and Tim Robbins pitch for Sarandon’s affections amidst the hard knocks of suburban North Carolina. This film actually once topped Sports Illustrated’s list of the greatest sports movies of all time - not that the plot, character development or dialogue would suggest such a thing. Let’s play!
