What a strange season this is. Each time we call a 'must-win' game for Millwall, events elsewhere seem to conspire to keep the Lions in the play-off chase - however unlikely it might seem with the third worst goals scored tally in the division.

Yesterday's 1-1 draw with the Robins would ordinarily leave us looking realistically at mid-table respectability, however instead we actually closed the gap to Preston's sixth spot to five points (and four clubs in our way - but hey, at least we're into March as the eternal underdogs still).

Traditionally the Lions are at their best making madcap runs in March and April and we are going to need every ounce of siege mentality if this coup is to be pulled off. But being alive is better than being dead, so it's on to Forest on Friday March 6th for more set-pieces danger and defensive solidity.

Keep the faith - as the Northern soul crowd say ...
