Simon Dunn found his champions
Simon Dunn is a sporting venn diagram. Growing up in Wollongong, he played rugby union for his entire life; before one day, whilst on trials in Canada, he was recruited for the Australian bobsled team
Simon went from charging into people and trying to hurt others, to slugging a sled, and trying his best not to get hurt.
He's also the first openly gay man to represent his country in bobsled, and coming from a sport like Rugby, where hypermasculinity is rife, Simon overcame a lot to get where he is, find his champions and now, be a champion for others.
Thank you to Uncle Jack Charles for the acknowledgement of country.
