Louise Sauvage

When Louise Sauvage called time on a Paralympic career spanning four games and nine gold medals, she could’ve been forgiven for drifting off into quiet retirement. But for someone who had made their name in wheelchair racing, slowing down was never really an option.

Less than a year after retirement, Louise found herself back in the wheelchair racing circuit. This time around, however, it was as a coach. Having worked with the likes of Angie Ballard and Tokyo gold medallist Madison de Rosario, Louise has become an expert at teaching others how to tame the mental beast within.

Thank you to Uncle Jack Charles for the acknowledgement of country.
