Libby Trickett, OAM

There's only one type of girl you can be in Australian swimming, and that's golden. Libby Lenton was as golden as they get. Golden hair, golden skin, golden smile...and lots of golden medals! She won gold in the 2004 Athens Olympics, 2008 Beijing Olympics and again at the 2012 London Olympics. On the way Libby got married and became Libby Trickett. She retired, then made a comeback and set an Olympic record.

When she finally retired for good, in 2013, Libby found a very large Olympic pool shaped hole in her life, and filling it has taken more out of her than she could've ever imagined.

Thank you to Uncle Jack Charles for the acknowledgement of country.
