Bookable Space with Patrick D Hahn

In ths episode of Bookable Space we're joined by Patrick D Hahn reading Obedience Pills: ADHD and the Medicalization of Childhood.

About the book:

Every day across this great land of ours, millions of children are swallowing pills for something called "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder," or "ADHD." This has long been almost exclusively an American obsession, although the rest of the world is catching up with us.

So what are the harms of this mass drugging of children? What are the benefits? Who benefits? These questions form the basis of this book.

For a time, the mass drugging of children was the subject of spirited controversy, but that controversy for the most part seems to have died down. The goal of this book is to re-ignite the controversy.
