CIA involvement in 20th century literature

Art has been appropriated for military purposes throughout the 20th century. Camouflage was inspired by Cubism, Abstract art was used as anti-soviet propaganda and In the 1950's the CIA covertly funded literary magazines to service US Imperialism.
