EP 354 Fast Fashion, Happy Vaginas and Feminism with Camilla Thurlow, Urenna Okonkwo, Tess Little and Mika Simmons

How do you go from bomb disposal to the Love island Villa? And what can men add the happy vagina conversation?

Joining Harriet this week is Camila Thurlow who we all know from Love Island however, did you know she left a job as a bomb disposal expert to find fame in the love island villa but soon found herself educating the other islanders on feminist issues, Camilla has written a book on all of her unlikely pursuits, “Not The Type” is out now.

As instagram ramps up our desire for new clothes and expensive looks, Urenna Okonkwo talks to Harriet about her money saving app Cashmere and why she thinks it will help women save some cash.

Author and Historian Tess Little and Harriet discuss the spread of radical feminism movement of the 60's & 70's and how we shared ideas with France and the US to grow the resources available to women from places of refuge to historic manifesto's. Tess also tells Harriet about her new book The Octopus.

And Friend of the show Mika Simmons is back to chat about the new series of her podcast “The Happy Vagina”. How did it go when she invited men into the conversation?
