WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE RELEASED BY ASTON VILLA | Claret & Blue

Josh Webb was a Next-Gen winner with Aston Villa in 2012-13 but was released by the club just three years later in July 2016. The 21 year old found himself at Kilmarnock and then back closer to home with Kidderminster Harriers and Coleshill Town.

Josh's passion is coaching, now working with the U9's group at Aston Villa, and working as a PE teacher in a secondary school near his hometown. But what actually happens when a player is released? What's the after-care like, from the club?

Josh explains all.
