Your Robot Will See Better with LIDAR

The abbreviation LIDAR stands for "light detection and ranging" or, more recently, "laser imaging, detection, and ranging". Furthermore, in our texts, the term "lidar" is used as a generic term. Lidar measures the distance between itself and surrounding objects either in a plane or in space. The result of the measurement is a point cloud that can be used in the navigation of robotic vacuum cleaners, autonomously guided vehicles (AGV), service robots and the like.
