Jeremy Wallach

Jeremy Wallach is a professor of popular culture at Bowling Green State University.  He specializes in popular musics of Southeast Asia, having conducted fieldwork in Indonesia to discover how music and culture interact. In this episode, we talk about different punk scenes in Indonesia, the English language,  how "Western" punk ideals manifest and evolve  though Indonesian youth culture, and the power of live music.
